There is a reason fortune cookies have survived for over a century. Not because the wisdom inside them is profound. Most of it is generic. The modern attention economy has convinced us that more content equals more value. Longer podcasts, deeper courses, thicker books. We measure the worth of an idea by how long it takes to consume. One of the most counterintuitive design decisions a wisdom platform can make is to limit how much content you can receive in a day. "That is all for today. See you tomorrow." This feels wrong in a culture that equates access with value. But the limitation is the feature.
When you know you only get one transmission today, you read it differently. You hold it. You return to it during the day. The scarcity creates weight. The same sentence, encountered in an infinite feed of similar sentences, has no weight at all. Context collapses when everything is available all the time.
